Stories
Dave and Barbara had a toga party to celebrate, I think, Barabara's birthday. Many people
were invited, I remember seeing Chiefy in Power's Bar before the party, suitably attired as a
North American, or 'Red' Indian.
Two uninvited guests at the party were Ringo and Buddy. They were short of ways to
impress some of the women who were in attendance, and decided on a 'hairy body
competition'.
This was all very fine except Ringo had little facial hair to boast about in those days, while
Buddy looked like a gorilla.
So Buddy won, and the women at the party were in various states of revulsion as they
stared upon the village finest in their jocks. At least Ringo's were blue briefs, while Buddy
appeared to be wearing white long shorts which looked like soccer shorts from the 1930's.
Dave then decided to hide their clothes and they were thrown out at 2.30 am into a freezing
winter's night. They thought they would exit over Dave's back wall, as chancing the lane
where Milo and Soap were domiciled looked a little risky. Three times they dived for cover
on the road to Coxtown as cars passed them in the night. It would have looked a fair
spectacle, nothing on them but pointy-toed ankle-high boots, and their undies.
Ringo gave Buddy an old coat belonging to his aulfella that was in the shed, and off he
strode to Portally, white legs protruding from beneath the top coat.
The next day Dave Harris found Bud's wig dangling from a bush in his back-yard.
