the city of Waterford.

Harbour Estuary, 4.8kms from Hook Head in

Dunmore East, Co. Waterford,
Ireland
was originally a Ballygunner Man who came to live in Dunmore after he married local girl Kitty Regan. Paddy
and Kitty and their two sons Austin and Paddy junior lived at ''Woodview'' or the "Killea Houses" as they are
better known. Bunny operated a Bulldozer for Sam Driver Plant Hire at the Waterford City Dump for many years
and was a keen hurling fan having played for Ballygunner in his younger days.
It was for his quick wit and love of music however that Bunny became much loved in his adopted Dunmore and
during the days of Paddy Green's Anchor Bar he was one of a number of great characters who inhabited that
particular pub at that time. Bunny loved all music but held a special place in his heart for his good friend Finbar
Furey and the Furey Brothers . Bunny passed away suddenly on the 27.3.1990 leaving all of us who knew and
loved him in a state of shock. A large crowd attended his funeral at Killea Church where Finbar Furey played The
Lonesome Boatman at the graveside.
